About Equine and Epicure

Having traveled the world extensively, a great deal of the time on horses and always seeking out a fabulous meal, sharing what I’ve seen, experienced and tasted is a great way to enable others to benefit from an unbiased view. Because we pay for every trip and meal you’ll know we are not beholden to the restaurant, riding operator, airlines or others.  To be a great meal it doesn’t have to be expensive, but it does have to be authentic and provide value and a delicious experience. The horses must be fit, the tack in good condition, the ride interesting. If it isn’t we’ll tell you why and what you might need to prepare if you are considering going.

The country overviews are just that – this site isn’t Wikipedia – it’s to give you a flavour of the country. The articles are personal opinions based on personal experiences, if you don’t agree with them, that is your prerogative.

I spent many years in the wine industry, even judging wines at the competition level, so I feel somewhat qualified to opine on the wines I taste; again, it’s my opinion that you read here, my writing is meant to neither endorse nor criticize the intent of the winemaker, it’s what my palate tells me.
